French Toast

This is just a very basic recipe I use on mornings when we’re in a hurry.

INGREDIENTS:
Bread
Egg
Milk
Nutmeg
Cinnamon
Vanilla
Powdered Sugar
Syrup

Step 1
On a plate, or in a bowl, mix one raw egg, a splash of milk, a dash of nutmeg, a little bit of cinnamon and about a teaspoon of vanilla.

Step 2
Lay a piece of bread in the mixture allowing it to soak for a minute or so and then flip it over doing the same on the other side.

Step 3
Melt a pad of butter on medium heat in a non stick skillet. Place your bread in the skillet and flip over when the bottom side is golden brown, then do the same for the other side.

Step 4
Put your toast on a plate, melt a pad of butter on top, sprinkle with powdered sugar and add syrup.

Very easy, and you can add so many things to this recipe. Whatever sounds good, just throw it on in there. A lot of people use flavored syrups, fresh fruit and whipped cream, to name a few.
